If you would like to shoot the nadir (down shot or footprint) purchase NN3 with nadir adapter (NA). The NA allows you to easily swing the vertical assembly allowing camera to point straight down to the ground.
Lower rotator options:
Rotator Mini (F1235)- smallest and lightest rotator, single click options. If pre-installed with 12 degree ring this will give you the feel of 30 stops during 360 degrees of rotation. You can swap out the detent ring with use of hex key. This is preferred if you shoot primarily using one lens.
Available rings (detent click stops):
- 120° (3 stops)
- 90° (4 stops)
- 72° (5 stops)
- 60° (6 stops)
- 45° (8 stops)
- 36° (10 stops)
- 30° (12 stops)
- 25.7° (14 stops)
- 18° (20 stops)
- 15° (24 stops)
- 12° (30 stops)
- 10° (36 stops)
Advanced Rotator D-10 (F1140) - This is our newest rotator. No interchanging of rings - to change click stop options merely move detent plunger knob from hole to the next. This is very handy when shooting with different lenses such as fisheye to 50mm. Features: Compact, lightweight with 10 detent options ranging from 90 to 5 degrees that can be changed on the fly. Suitable for fisheye, wide angle and telephoto lenses up to 200mm equivalent focal length.
10 different degree stop increments (with equivalent number of stops around) include:
- 5 (72 stops)*
- 7.5 (48 stops)*
- 10 (36 stops)
- 15 (24 stops)
- 18 (20 stops)*
- 30 (12 stops)*
- 36 (10 stops)
- 45 (8 stops)*
- 60 (6 stops)
- 90 (4 stops)
*Requires dual detent plungers.
The lens being used determines the number of shots you need to complete a panorama. The chart below assumes approx. 25% overlap between images.
